Acupuncture in Pregnancy
Through all the trimesters
Whatever discomfort or ailment you may have during pregnancy, chances are acupuncture can help. From the day you find out you're expecting, to the last gasp of active labor and recuperating in the "fourth trimester," think of acupuncture for safe, drug-free relief.
How Often? If you want treatments throughout your pregnancy, you could plan to get acupuncture on the same schedule as your doctor or midwife visits. If that isn't convenient or feasible, you could schedule appointments as needed.
Breech: If the baby is in breech position, I can treat you with needles and teach you to use moxa at home to help turn the baby. It's important for you to come in as soon as you know your baby needs to move!
Labor Preparation: As you get close to 40 weeks, say, starting at 36 weeks, it helps to get acupuncture more frequently, to get you ready for labor day.
Lactation: If you need help with producing milk, acupuncture is super for lactation. With just 5 needles, you can double your milk production!
